1. Introduction: What's your story?
I have always been creative… so photography has come natural to me. I started off years ago photographing families, babies and maternity. As I honed in more on maternity and newborn photography, I found that my favorite part was connecting to the new moms. Sharing my own journey and hearing about theirs fed my soul.
It was such. joy to be able to speak positivity to new moms. While photographing maternity sessions, I loved getting feedback from the moms about how beautiful they looked and felt… something that isn’t always the case with pregnant women. Soon I branched out into maternity boudoir. Pregnant women have the right to feel beautiful and sexy too! And whoah! I was hooked! As photographers, we know it's all about the angles and posing… and being able to actually SHOW ladies how gorgeous they are is definitely something I am meant to do.
When I chose to do boudoir full time, I found that I connected to my clients on a whole new level. These ladies pour their hearts and souls out to me and entrust me with not only their stories… but their journeys too! Whether they are on a journey of recovery, divorce, weight loss, or simply just trying to reconnect with their sexuality… I am always so honored to be a part of the ride! I am extremely passionate about what I do and creating a safe space for all women that walk through my door.
2. What is your experience shooting boudoir?
In the years that I have specialized in boudoir, I have photographed hundreds of women! Boudoir is so much more to me than just capturing some sexy photos... it's about creating space to reconnect with yourself... your sexuality, femininity, self love... your why. It's a reason to put yourself back on the "list" and make your relationship with YOURSELF a priority. I love being a champion of women and encouraging them to treat themselves, not only by doing a boudoir session, but also all the little things leading up to their session... go get nails done, get a facial, get a massage... pamper and treat yourself and show yourself the love you deserve.
3. Where will the photo shoot take place?
In my downtown loft studio located in downtown San Antonio. My studio is nestled in a cute artsy side of town known as "Southtown" to the locals. 1114 S St. Marys Street SATX 78259
4. How should customers prepare for the Boudoir photo shoot?
I give a thorough pre-guide to all ladies that get booked with me! I want them to feel suuuuuuuper prepared and not stress about anything. I go into details about how to come with your hair - clean and dry, a clean washed face, loose fitting clothing and a willingness to be open and have fun! I also have TikTok videos of stretches they can do before hand... it makes a huge difference in the outcome of the photos! I also tell them to avoid harsh tan line/sun burns so no floating on the river or laying out by the pool all day right before their session. I also go in depth with each client about outfits and of course I have large client closet of hundreds of lingerie items to choose from as well!
5. Will there be a hairstylist and make-up artist?
Absolutely! I only work with the most skilled and licensed artists locally
6. What do you do to make your customers feel comfortable for the shoot?
By simply chatting with them and getting to know them. I am a total open book and I love connecting with each one of my clients before and during their session. During the shoot we chit chat the ENTIRE time and I give posing direction, so before they know it... we are all done and they didn't even have time to feel awkward or uncomfortable.
7. Are pictures printed or do you provide a digital file?
Both!
8. What happens on the day?
We start all sessions at 9am. They spend the first 1-2 hours in hair and makeup, we also finalize outfits during that time as well. Once all that is done, we start the session... which can last 1-2 hours. It depends on how many outfit changes they have and how easily they go into the poses. After that, they head off to a complimentary lunch while I do a quick upload and edit of images. After their 1 hour lunch break, they come back to the studio and see ll their images that same day - my clients LOVE being able to see everything that same day!
9. Where will the photographs be used?
As long a model release is signed, I like to to show them on my website and social media accounts. No one is ever pressured to sign a release though.. ever!
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
Our $299 session fee is non refundable and that is explained to each lady that books with us. I try to be accommodating with reschedules as possible as life happens and things change. As long as they can give adequate notice it's typically not an issue. If they were to get sick or have a personal emergency then I always give one complimentary reschedule for them.
